Christian Kjeldsen
Who writes these guides?
Christian Kjeldsen is a San Diego-based researcher who writes and maintains the guides on SD Price Hub. He compiles public permit records and published price lists into plain-English cost guides, and works on data and sales systems. He is not a contractor or a licensed tradesperson, and the guides do not present him as one.
How is each guide researched?
- Public records first: City and County of San Diego open data, state license files and agency rules, each cited on the page.
- Published price lists and agency fee schedules, with the date they were checked.
- Small samples and exclusions are labeled. No fake reviews, ratings or testimonials.
How are pages reviewed and updated?
Each page shows a "Last updated" date. When source data is refreshed the figures are rechecked and the date updated. Full details are in the methodology.
